The food was exceptional, everything freshly cooked, no UPF here. I had the Lamb shank, which was melt in the mouth. Highly recommend.

Me and my family came into the Brothers in Arms Restaurant on Friday 17th January for lunch. They had issues whilst we were there with electric, and I would just like to say a big thanks for how well they dealt with this very difficult situation. In particular, there were two blond haired ladies, sorry I did not get their names, but between them they never stopped working to keep us in the loop with what was going on and making sure me and my family enjoyed our lunch and we cannot say thank you enough for their help. They even gave us a discount to say sorry for the delays caused by the electric, which was most appreciated.

Headline | Awesome venue, brilliant atmosphere, food was delicious and well presented. My only negative is that the customer service at times is slow and incompetent. It was busy, but we asked for more drinks several times but turned up just as we were leaving and getting the bill. Drinks were discounted, which was a lovely gesture 😊 so 5 starts

After contacting before we booked to find out certain requirements, we were very disappointed with our visit to Brothers in Arms. As we were going out for a meal to celebrate our mums 90th birthday we queried about the menu asking would the full menu be served on the day and was told yes only to find that it was a reduced menu and light bites menu which is not shown on their website. We also asked to be seated in a warm area and was told this would be fine. When we got there we were seated in front of double door leading to the outside area. There was an air curtain above the door which made no difference as the door was in constant use. We did move tables a couple of times but unfortunately none of these were away from the external door. Most people in the restaurant were sat in coats, scarves and hats whilst eating, which I feel means that others were also experiencing the low temperatures. On getting our meals we were asked if we wanted sauces which we said yes to and at no point during eating our meal did they bring them out or even come over to ask if everything was ok with our meals.

Great tasty food in a lovely spacious environment. The food may not be the cheapest, but its of a high standard with friendly staff. I wish they would also add a couple of disabled parking spaces close to the entrance, as my partner finds it difficult to manage when having to park in the overflow area when it's busy.

My husband and I hosted our wedding breakfast at Brothers in Arms, and it was absolutely fantastic. The food was delicious, with generous portions that left everyone satisfied. Our guests were all impressed with the quality, and no one left hungry! The staff were incredibly accommodating, ensuring that everything went smoothly and making our day stress-free and comfortable. We want to extend a heartfelt thank you to everyone at Brothers in Arms for their hard work and dedication in making our day so special. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience

The food was delicious. The presentation and attention to detail on the plate was something you would expect to see from a Michelin starred restaurant. The portion sizes were great, you won’t leave hungry. The fire was roaring giving it a really cozy atmosphere.

Absolutely awful experience, pre booked a Sunday dinner for 16 people in sept stating 4 people are vegetarian on the booking, arrived and the table wasn’t set up, pushed against the wall and had to move the tables ourselves to be able to sit down, took over 40minutes for someone to come and take our order, to then find out there’s no vegetarian option even though this had been stated on the booking, they offered no sufficient alternative, if you’re a vegetarian make sure you stay away from this place!!

‘Brothers’ as my parents call it, does everything right. It is their regular for a meal out, and they chose it to celebrate my mum’s 70th. We had a table of 10 which is a challenge for most restaurants, but they took care of us well. The food is great quality here and cooked well. I had the pork chop with mustard mash (delicious), but everything I saw looked great and generous. The staff are warm and welcoming, and look after a large and busy restaurant with a smile on their face. A proper hidden gem.

First time eating here. We brought friends and we ALL were so impressed. Friendly and welcoming staff. Slow service at the bar but once sat down the service was on point 100%. Food was tasty and delicious. Shout out to our waitress Charley, lovely lady, friendly, had banter with us but very processional, actually made our night. Definitely would recommend. We will be back

Had Sunday lunch with my wife and daughter. First time for me, second time for them. Food was exceptional. Large portions. Had a starter and main meal but was too full for dessert. No problem as my wife and daughter took their desired dessert away. Service was excellent. Waited only minutes for drinks and food. Set price for lunch was well worth it. Will definitely go back.

We started coming here when it first opened and we were so excited to have a restaurant local to us. We loved it at first! Food was always hot and delicious, service was always really good and it became a regular place for us to visit. However, on the last 2 occasions we have been, including today for Sunday lunch, it has unfortunately really gone down hill. This is such a shame, as it could be such a great place for everyone to visit. We were seated at our table, and having taken our friends we were hopeful for a good meal. However, we weren’t asked if we wanted any drinks for about 15-20 mins, so I had to go and ask them to take our order. The waitress then came over and took our drinks and food order. The food then came to us almost too quickly and it was cold. The cauliflower cheese was lumpy and the vegetables were cold and non descript. We had 1 carrot and 2 potatoes. The veg came without serving spoons, and again I had to get up and ask for them, and were bought over a desert spoon! Our meal came before our drinks! I was actually embarrassed to take our friends there, and I just feel it is a shame how much this place has gone down hill since it opened. The service was poor and the waitresses just didn’t seem to have what I call very good personable skills. This place used to be a packed on a Sunday, however it wasn’t today. I can’t help but feel word has got round about how much this place has changed and not for the best. Such a huge shame, as we would love to go back and have a good experience, however again today has given us a bad experience and it would be hard to come back now. Thank god the farm shop is still good! I’m truly gutted this place has gone down hill, as we were so hopeful for a good local, but the meal really disappointed us today. Sorry guys. 😢

I booked a table for 3 for Sunday lunch we was put in the function room nice and quiet until a party of 16 turned up very noisy there was plenty of other tables to be placed. I ordered a round of drinks after 10 minutes then waited another 10 minutes and went to the bar only to find nobody had done any drinks so l re-orded at the bar. When we got our meals 5 minutes later we 3 all had 2 small carrots my wife's where cold and all of the rest of the food tasted like it had just come out of the microwave so instead of having a nice 3 course meal we decided to walk out only having 1 course and was changed £70 for the privilege. When I got home l went on there web page to find the menu was not the one on offer. No soup of the day, No ice-cream not even any apple sauce with the pork roast. The menu has not been updated for 7 months. Will not be going back.
